PPD's new mountain ski was developed in early 2006 to address many issued faced with todays mountain riders. The ski is concaved for this reason. The powder is pulled to the center of the ski instead of pushed out to the sides. With the snow being cupped and drawn to the ski center it will carry its self on top of the powder better. Sidehilling is also made easier, being concaved the ski will hold the snow under the ski for better control on the side hill. The tri-keel design is to eliminate the darting sliders experience to and from the hill on the trails. As the tracks are getting longer each year sliders need steering stability one the trail and the powder. The X-MT is a wider light weight high performance ski that all mountain rides from the novice to the extreme will appreciate.
